Batch Update Guide for Daily Time Spent Function

Introduction

The Batch Update feature in the Daily Time Spent function streamlines the process of recording and updating staff time spent on daily tasks. This guide will instruct you on how to use this feature, which allows for efficient time tracking using an Excel template for days both with and without check-in from the App.

Accessing the Web Application

To open the Daily Time Spent function:

  1. Launch a web browser from your desktop or laptop.
  2. Navigate to https://web.nucleusenterprise.com.sg/open in new window.
  3. Enter your username (your staff ID, e.g., SWC-001) and password (the same as for the App).

  • Batch Time Tracking: Import daily time spent data using an Excel template.
  • Activity Details (Optional): Include detailed activity descriptions if needed by the department.
  • View-Only Web Interface: The web UI provides a view-only interface to examine daily time spent data.

Using the Daily Time Spent and No Check-In Time Spent Tabs

Daily Time Spent Tab

The "Daily Time Spent" tab is for days when staff have checked in via the App. For these days, the time spent is recorded automatically, and no further approval is required. Image of Daily Time Spent Tab

No Check-In Time Spent Tab

The "No Check-In Time Spent" tab is for submitting time spent on days when there was no check-in via the App. Entries made here will be subject to supervisor approval. Image of No Check-In Time Spent Tab

Downloading and Using the Excel Template

Downloading the Template

  1. In the web application, go to the section where you want to import your time.
  2. Click on the Download button to get the Excel template.
  3. The downloaded template will have the necessary columns for your entries.

Filling Out the Template

Fill in the template with the following details:

  • Date: The specific day you're tracking time for.

  • Project Code / Cost Center: The identifier for the project or cost center. This code is a label same to the one from App check-in Project Code. Project Code

  • Activity Code: The code for the specific activity (optional).

  • % Time Spent: The percentage of time spent on the activity.

  • Remarks: Any additional notes or comments about the task (optional). Example row in the Excel template:

Importing Data from Excel

  1. After filling out the template, save your Excel file.
  2. Navigate to the Daily Time Spent section in the web application.
  3. Click the Import button to initiate the upload process.
  4. Select your filled Excel file and confirm the upload.
